We are fortunate to have a five acre redwood forest at our school. Once a week we take walks on the Nature
Trail to learn more about local natural history and promote the
healthy habit of hiking. Our time spent on the Nature Trail has
numerous curricular connections back in the classroom. Mathematics,
language arts, visual arts, physical education and of course science all
benefit from students having hands on experiences with the natural
world around them. But the most important thing about the Nature Trail
is that we have fun!
